Constructed in 1894 by Theodore Mismer, this two and one-half story wood frame residential building is one of only five examples of historic Colonial Revival architecture in Melbourne. Distinquishing features of the style present on the Mismer house include a hip roof, boxed cornice, gable dormer with cornice returns, and an offset entrance with classical detailing. The entrance is surrounded by an overhead fanlight, pilasters, and pediment. The house remained in the Mismer family until 1980, when it was converted to a commercial office. [Olausen]
